South Korea

The Republic of Korea

For most businesses, there is only one Korea, South Korea (in legal diplomatese the Republic of Korea.). This nation of 45 million people, with a per capita income of US$10,500, slightly more than half that of countries like the U.K.and Italy, represents for most companies the second largest market in Asia. For Australia and some other countries, South Korea is their second largest export market in the world.

EABC has been helping companies of different nationalities, size and sectors to develop and grow their business in South Korea since 1989. It operates in South Korea alongside Korea Associates, its Korean sister company. Korea Associates represents the Economist Conferences in South Korea, and is the organiser of the Korea Peer Group, a forum of expatriate companies which discusses issues facing foreign businesses there.
